This RCA " Respond to this post by replying above this line New post on 9to5Toys From the dept. of “how bad could it be”: Target offers RCA 8″ Android tablet for $40 by Seth Weintraub This RCA Tablet, affectionately called the RCT6573W23, isn't going to run with an iPad, Surface or any 1st rate Android tablet but we're now crossing the $40 barrier on a new product from a known brand at a respected outlet so it is notable. This RCA 8-inch tablet has 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage and a quad core processor of some kind. It is so cheap that the 2-year service plan is $19 more than the tablet itself. (buy 2!). It gets OK reviews at Amazon and a few good/few bad at Target. That 720 x 480 display isn't going to win any awards but it has front and back cameras, and an SD slot for storage and runs Android 4.4. It might be great for kids (so cheap you could buy it for your kid's random classmate's birthday party) or an aging luddite or something. I don't know. I'm curious.
